16 things to do in ODAIBA, TOKYO 🤖 (Japan Travel Guide)

Odaiba is definitely one of my favorites places in Tokyo. It’s a very chill place with lots of things to do in the area. Here are just a few of the things you can do around here.

1. Ride the Yurikamome line – an automated transit service without any drivers, linking Shimbashi to Toyosu via Odaiba across the Rainbow Bridge in Tokyo.
2. Have a fun day at Joypolis – an indoor amusement park that’s perfect even on a rainy day.
3. Take a photo with the life-sized Gundam – You can enjoy a short “performance” as the statue moves at certain times.
4. Have unlimited Instagram-worthy photos at Team Lab Planets – an interactive and immersive digital art exhibition where you walk through water and a garden.
5. Relax at Odaiba Marine Park – You can enjoy the beautiful waterfront view at the 800m long artificial coastline of Odaiba Beach
6. Enjoy the landscape of the Rainbow bridge – The bridge is 798m long, and the lamps placed on the wires supporting the bridge are illuminated every night using solar energy obtained during the day.
7. Get mesmerized with Odaiba’s night view – The landscape during daytime is beautiful too, but witnessing it at night is on another level.
8. Experience a luxurious stay at Hilton Hotel – This waterfront hotel towers 15 stories over Tokyo Bay, with views of the skyline and Rainbow Bridge.
9. Dine at TGI Fridays – If you’re having your birthday in Tokyo, you can dine at TGIF and get a free huge sundae and take home a souvenir photo. The one in Odaiba also has an amazing view.
10. Have a hilarious time at the Unko museum – “Unko” means “poop” in Japanese, and it’s a colorful museum with several photogenic spaces to have funny photos.
11. Go mall-hopping at several malls in the area – There’s Diver City, Aqua City, Decks Tokyo Beach, LaLaport Toyosu and more.
12. Enjoy mini-theme parks like Legoland – with over 3 million LEGO bricks under one roof ; and Madame Tussauds – an experiential attraction facility that has 60 life-size celebrity figures.
13. Visit the Statue of Liberty replica – It came to Odaiba in commemoration of “The French year in Japan”.
14. Check out Japan’s TV stations like Fuji TV & Nittere – You’ll find a lot of displays of anime and popular shows that have made it to the world stage.
15. Experience the retro atmosphere of Japan at Daiba ichome shoutengai – It’s a place where you can enjoy the vibes of Japan during the Showa period.
16. Tokyo Big Sight – Also known as Tokyo International Exhibition Center, it’s the largest convention center in Japan.

In reality, there’s so much more on this list, but some of the establishments have closed down in the past months and years. But I still want to share them with you so here they are:
– Gundam cafe
– Palette Town
– Venus Fort
– MegaWeb Toyota

Odaiba is undergoing a massive redevelopment. We’re excited for upcoming establishments opening soon in Odaiba!
