  1. It's the "world's fastest train" until the overwhelming speed of tofu-dreg construction and Chinese Communist corruption overwhelm it, at which point it becomes just another failed infrastructure pile of wreckage.

  2. Is this the Shanghai airport maglev?

The maglev, designed built and supplied to China in 2004 by Siemens and ThyssenKrupp of GERMANY?

  3. SO.. uhh.. not once did we actually see the maglev.

The exterior scenes in the video appear to be a CHR2, a cheap Chinese ripoff of the Japanese E2 shinkansen with a top speed of roughly 240kmh. You can see the LCD statusboard in the train at one point showing 75kmh, and you can even see the overhead pantographs in the station. It's hard to tell without seeing the nose of the train. These are used on HSR lines all around China, and are 1990s technology, since superseded in France, Germany, UK, TAIWAN, South Korea.. and of course, Japan itself.

The maglev does exist.. not that China had anything to do with making it or designing it. But it helps to actually take videos of whatever it is you're trying to promote.

I hope you're not CCP employees, because somebody's in for some 自我批判.
