When we told everyone we were going to Tokyo Japan, the number one most recommended thing for us to do was teamLab Planets! So today we are making the trip to this interactive immersive art exhibit which is unlike anything we’ve seen before and one of the coolest things we’ve ever experienced. We’ll explore some more of Japan’s convenience stores, shop at the biggest Disney Store in Japan, have some more fun with ufo catcher machines and have dinner in Omoide Yokocho, an iconic narrow alleyway filled with small food stalls and bars.     Tokyo’s cool and all, but Osaka’s where it’s at! There are way fewer tourists, and the food is way better!

    I've been to Planets so many times and it never gets old for me. And as touristy as Omoide Yokocho is I just love the atmosphere of the small alley skewer places. The small bar Albatross along the path is still one of my favorite little joints to hit up in Shinjuku.

    I got super addicted to gachapon and claw machines there too! Between 3 of us we sent a box home and packed 2 more bags to check with all the stuff we got including a fair amount of plushies and toys from crane games. The single and double prong games are easier than you think 😉

    There is a you tuber caller Solo Travel Japan and he does the coolest trips on local trains, boats, ships, etc. then he also has a food you tube channel for Japan because his food choices on these trains and ships was so popular.
    The guy never speaks, it’s all English text at the bottom. There is a lot of copy cats of his, but he’s the original. And he’s amazing if you want to know where to go, what to see, and what to eat in Japan.
