Our FIRST izakaya and a REALLY cool park! Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan! πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

We loved wandering around the Shibuya neighbourhood in Tokyo, Japan! We crossed the Shibuya Scramble Crossing, explored local Japanese shopping, and tried our very first izakaya experience! We also spotted Miyashita Park from all the way up the Shibuya Sky tower, and we HAD to check it out!

We’re Bingo and Binew — or more formally, Jon and Linda! We’ve been traveling full-time for over a year, and we’ve finally decided to document our experiences for our memories, our families… and for you, too!

  1. Your opinion is correct. Shibuya is a city in the valley. The meaning of Shibuya is rust-red valley. It is said that the Shibuya River that flows through Shibuya used to contain a lot of iron and was rust-red in color. The scramble crossing you crossed is the bottom of the valley.
