Aerial view of Gizabanta in Okinawa【沖縄 慶座絶壁(ギーザバンタ)】

“Banta” means “cliff” in the Okinawan language, and on the main island of Okinawa, you can find “Kayauchi Banta” near Cape Hedo, the northernmost tip, and Miyagi Island, beyond the underwater road in Uruma City. “Kafu Banta” is famous.

Geezer Banta (Keiza Cliff) is located in the southern part of the main island of Okinawa, and the countless waterfalls flowing into the sea are a rare sight even in Okinawa, which is rich in nature.
The waterfall that connects to the sea is actually surplus water from the dam. The waterfall is created by releasing surplus water from the nearby Keiza Dam.

From the top of the Gizabanta cliff, you can clearly see the underwater world.
It’s not built for tourism, so you need to be careful as there are no fences, but it’s a little-known spot where you can enjoy nature in its natural state.
You will be overwhelmed by the beautiful and rough sea of Okinawa.
