  5. 9:39 Please don’t assume that the entire country of Indonesia is like that, traditional food in my part of Borneo doesn’t use any sort of peanut sauce. Of course we have now received influences from other cultures, but like each ethnic group in Indonesia we have our own preferences.

That being said, ᮠᮒᮥᮁᮔᮥᮠᮥᮔ᮪ (hatur nuhun), thank you for visiting Bandung, the capital city of the Indonesian province of West Java!

  12. 6:18 I have never tried the kupat tahu with pickles, I think the pickles are for lontong kari.

In the 80's, my mother worked in Apotek Cicendo in the building next to the warung kupat tahu, so this kupat tahu probably the first kind of kupat tahu I ate. My father sometimes bring me and my brother to the apotek to pick up my mother. My family are customers since the first generation kupat tahu bu Yeyet.

  16. Yeyyy horray ..Finally David came to Indonesia.👏👏👍👍thank you David. Hope that you will come to Indonesia again for another many beautiful island and city , and try many kind of authentic & delicious food from Indonesia. And also learn different culture from every province of Indonesia.

  17. The world is a beautiful place outside of the West. Great hospitality and pure humanity with no strings attached. ❤

  18. Even though i’m Indonesian, I’m still amaze how indonesia people, a non english speaking country with hundreds of ethnic language can speak simple english to communicate with foreigner. Especially the middle age to elder person. And lot of them don’t even learn english at school, it comes from social media, product package, random advertisement etc.

And i really like david and others are trying to learn local language wherever they go 😊

  19. Such a very positive person you're David, its my first time I watch your video but such a great positive vibes

  20. It's so nice to see the place where my great grandfather came from and that there are similar dishes like nagasari in Suriname as well. They really brought their recipes with them as immigrants.

  21. Worst YouTube channel I dislike all the videos and this shitty app keeps recommending these lame videos

  22. Please try everything without sambal first. And tell the guide not to always insist you to put sambal first, some Indonesian people don't like spicy too! So its okay if you don't want to use sambal.

Why is he always insist you to put sambal in every dish
