Japan and US are both quite stagnant as developed countries. So it's easy to blend black and forth for you. If you were living in for example, China, I think it would be a very different perspective.
As someone who has worked in and around San Francisco for a number of years; the safety aspect of Japan makes it feel like a paradise. Also, the healthcare aspect is huge. My spouse is a JP cit. It is part of our overall plan to use the healthcare system in Japan as we inevitably age.
as someone who went to study overseas after coming home 3 years later i was expecting HUUGE change but as you said nothing changes and with time you just fall back into your old ''self'' and same happens when you go back, now yes for a first week it feels a bit different but that's just because of the shock
I feel like you just compared all of Japan to your one, cozy, non-diverse hometown … America varies exponentially based upon how much 'cultural enrichment' a city / state has
This was a great video! Since you've lived in Japan for so long, can you do a video of Japan and how it's changed? The first time I was there was in 2016, and I noticed many changes after I went back in 2023.

This is a wonderful video. The format of the commentary and the background is beautiful. Subscribed and binge watching your older content.
