I visited Ashikaga City in Tochigi Prefecture on Tobu Railway’s Liberty Ryomou train.
Ashikaga City is famous for Ashikaga Flower Park, but it is also known as “Little Kyoto” for Ashikaga Gakko, the oldest school in Japan, and Orihime Shrine. It is only a little over an hour away from Asakusa, so it is easy to visit.
