🚄 Welcome to Part 3 of our Japanese Journey! “Leaving Aus For Japan – Tokyo – The Promised Land…Or?” 🇯🇵 In this episode, join Me as I bid farewell to Kyoto and board the lightning-fast Shinkansen, reaching speeds of up to 320 km/h! 🌬️ Our destination: Ueno City, part of Tokyo Prefecture.
🍱 Prior to boarding, My Wife and I indulged in the iconic Ekiben—a traditional train bento box with rice and delectable proteins. 🥢 On the Shinkansen, the commute was a unique blend of comfort and speed, offering a glimpse of Japan’s efficiency. 🚆
🏙️ As we journeyed towards Tokyo, the landscape transformed from farmlands to vibrant neighborhoods, setting the stage for the bustling metropolis. 🌸Staying in Ueno, we used it as a Launch pad for our adventures in other Tokyo wards like Shinjuku and Akihabara.
🕹️ Akihabara, the nerd and technological Mecca, fascinated us with its colossal electronic stores and lively arcades. We unleashed our inner gamer, banging on Taiko drums and diving into the world of Square Enix at the famed cafe. 🎮
🦊 We explored shrines, encountered sakura trees, and marveled at Godzilla towering over Kabukicho. The adventure continued with a meet-up with friends and a taste of Tokyo’s nightlife. 🌃
