After all of these years I finally made it back to Japan. I first arrived in Japan in 2012 and stayed until about 2016. Nagoya was the first Japanese City I lived in and to revisit it after 10 years was almost a surreal experience. Retracing my old footsteps, paying visits to old friends, reflecting on some of the places and things that were there during my time there, but are now gone and exist only in my mind and in remnants of tidbits online.
Nagoya City (名古屋) is located in Aichi Prefecture (愛知県) on the main island of Honshū (本州). Nagoya, although not the most popular travel destination, is in fact one of the three largest cities in Japan.
