Today I want to show you what you can do if you want to come and spend an afternoon in Maebashi, Gunma. If you happen to be visiting Tokyo, and you want to take the train up to Maebashi, it’s only 1 hour by bullet train, and 2 by the local lines. If you have the Japan Rail Pass, just takes the bullet train of course. So on today’s journey, we start off at Maebashi Station because that is where you will arrive, and from there we head straight to the Gunma Prefectural Building to get a beautiful panoramic view of Maebashi and the surrounding areas. We then had to Maebashi Park and to the old Maebashi City Hall. After that, we head to a famous shop close by to eat real traditional Gunma food, Yakimanju. I then finish it up at my favorite Thai restaurant here in Maebashi. Hope you enjoy…
