If you are in New York City, and have not experienced Japan Fes this year, your last chance to enjoy this fantastic celebration of Japanese culture in 2023, is this coming week-end, on Saturday, October 28th. It will take place in New York’s East Village, at Astor Place, between Broadway and Lafayette Street. This annual festival runs from spring through fall, at various locations throughout New York City. Japan Fes is renowned for its size and diversity, attracting over 250,000 people annually, making it the world’s largest Japanese food festival. It was first held in 2016, and is run by entrepreneur Dragon Yamamoto from Okayama, who came to New York in 2011. The festival’s mission is to create opportunities, and promote Japan and Japanese culture. As you explore this cultural extravaganza, you’ll find selections from over 750 vendors, offering a mouthwatering array of Japanese and East Asian street food.
