This time, we had the opportunity to interview Chikusei in Kagawa Prefecture. The restaurant is very crowded even on weekdays, but on Saturdays, there is a huge line of customers from before opening until closing. The prices are very reasonable, but you can enjoy freshly boiled udon noodles and freshly fried tempura, and all the kelp and dried bonito flakes used to make the soup stock are purchased from Kyoto. The warm personalities of the master and the madam make this a place where many regulars come to meet them.

今回は、香川県にある「竹清(ちくせい)」さんに取材させてもらいました。平日も大賑わいの店内ですが、土曜ともなれば開店前〜閉店まで大行列の人気店です。とてもリーズナブルなお値段ですが、茹でたてのうどん、揚げたての天ぷらを食べられたり、お出汁の原料となる昆布や鰹節などは、全て京都から仕入れるこだわりぶり。また大将と女将さんの温かなお人柄に多くの常連さん達が会いにくるお店です。
