As always there’s so much going on in Japan this autumn and winter. Here’s my round-up of what’s new in Tokyo and around Japan, including events, new places that are opening and what’s coming up. Immersive dinner can be fun. I went once to a Fawlty Towers dinner show that was very fun.
One thing to add for Autumn/Winter is that next month the Mononoke Village opens in Ghibli Park.
For the whisky fans the Suntoy distilleries opened again, but tour tickets are only available by first being selected via lottery. Not sure yet how the tour is and if it is worth all the hassle or not. xD
No vending machines on the bullet trains?
I got a stuffed toy catbus from a Ghibli store in Tokyo. Oh the joy! Even has a little Totoro in it. Highly recommend
I almost get annoyed hearing all this cool new stuff coming later down the line since I’ve already booked my trip and am getting ready to leave soon. Although, I guess I’ll definitely be going back more often, so until next time I guess.

Hey have you seen the Alpaca cafe? Ikebukuro I think. I thought cat cafes were wierd lol. I go in 10 days time, I can't wait! I'm a little dissapointed about Shibuya essentially banning Hallowen celebrations though. I think Shinjuku will be packed instead. Still gonna go out in my Jason Voorhees mask, see if I can find a lively place (pretty easy in Tokyo lol)
I doubt they would ever do that kind of privacy seat on a plane, it takes up the middle seat by the looks of it, so one less customer per row. If they did the price would go up even more. Under £600 in 2019, over £1200 in 2023 🙁
I've heard about a rental clothing service recently, a Japanese live streamer @LemifromJapan mentioned she uses it.
raising the price but getting rid of service.. hm
I love your t-shirt – where did you get it?
International shipping is no joke! I wanted a baseball cap for the Rakuten Golden Eagles and their shop only mails items within Japan. So I signed up for another service with Rakuten Global Express that gives me a Japanese address to mail things to, and then I pay them to pack and ship it internationally. So all in all it cost $31 to ship a $28 hat lol.

That clothing service sounds pretty cool maybe ill try it for a day to see if i like it i just dont think im brave enough to doit for the whole trip
I cant wait to go back to Japan in 2024…been 4 times prior, and never made it to teamlab…will do it on this next trip for sure since it's back!

I'm traveling to Japan for my first time in March 2024 and want to check out TeamLab. Do have a recommendation on whether I try Planets or Borderless?
Just got back from Japan and absolutely loved it. Think I might look at some flights on that Pokemon plane for my next trip
