  1. Nice to get your new vid at the end of a few days off – glad to see you getting on so well up there. – FYI about 30 minutes after your patreon notification the video here was "up" but only at 360p. So it was working after you went to bed 😉 Also: Maple Flavor Calorie Mate is the best.

  2. Lucky Pierrot Shōwa branch. The ramen restaurant is Hakodate Shio Ramen Shinano. Remeber, Eric, bear spray does not work like bug spray! The US Forest Service had to issue a bulletin because some people were using bear spray like bug spray! Shin-Hakodate restaurant is ONJIKI NIWAMOTO Hokuto Eki-mae.

  3. Riding the wrong scooter wearing a SKA shirt. Walt Jabsco and the beat girl are turning in their graves :p
If you want a Mexican doughnut grab a melon pan. Pretty much Mexican conchas.
I think not having motorcycle parking in the inaka is a thing. I've never found bike parking in my hood.

  4. As someone who spent a year sleeping on beaded pillow, it surprising nice once you get use to it. My only problem is that they are usually to small.

  5. Experience the episodes with the jingle, now I kinda feel cheated out of something all these years and years without any…

    😘

  6. FINALLY, another civilized human who showers AM and PM! I can somewhat understand not doing it in the morning, if you're the type that doesn't sweat much at night. But I will never understand how people go through the whole day, especially summer, and go to bed all sweaty like that. Gross!

  7. Ok, that character outside of 新函館駅 the gocha says hes the original "キモカワ" referencing the concept of merging きもい and かわいい.
    Disgustingly cute or fugly cute…

  8. I had always wanted to try camping. Many years ago, I finally had the opportunity with some friends. It rained the entire time. I mean POURING rain. That was bad enough. But the worst part was that the couple we went with got into a huge argument. I have no idea why. I just remember them at a distance from the tents, arguing. We ended up all going home. Talk about a total fail!

  9. that view from the football field island looked like almost like it could be somewhere in northern europe!

  10. Doesn't anyone else find it a bit disturbing that the sushi looks like he needs antibiotics for his tail? Just me? Okay.

  11. Wide roads are probably for snow plows. You need space for the snow drifts they produce or it becomes difficult to navigate, especially given there's no "front lawns" like in North America where that would be a buffer zone for excessive snow.

  12. Calorie mate is like the modern world version of hard tack. Wasn't the fruit one the worst flavor? If you insist it's cheese though I'll believe it.

  13. Never give up on the adventure!
Happy that you are still around and i am sorry i have been lacking in the commenting department as of late.
Happy October to you both! Many hugs!

  14. Does sleeping on a park bench count as camping? I’m pretty sure you had that experience during your hitching series. 😉

  15. I have a pillow like that in the US and I will never go back to down or stuffed pillows. It's much cooler on the head and face and conforms better.

  16. Great content and amusing as always. As an experience motorcyclist both in Japan and the US, check out some YT vids on counter-steering. That's how bikes turn.

  17. 30:26 Platform tickets!? I didn't know that there was such a things I used to have a rail pass for each of my trips to Japan, but with the recent price increases, I don't think they will be worth it for future trips. Good to know I can just buy a ticket for a platform if I ever want to check out a specific train. I guess I'll have to grind a little to level-up on my densha-otaku before that. 😉

  18. Your hitchhiking videos are my favorite on the channel. I just wish you filmed more of the surroundings in it. This is filling the void.

  19. Eric! Rule one of camping with bears is no food in the tent and keep all food and smelly things stored in a secure place away from you. Glad you didn’t get eaten!

  20. I hope you get to visit the tomato farmer from your hitch hiking series. Cos those tomatoes really set the bar for you lol!
