To travel around Hokkaido by car, I boarded the Shin Nihonkai Ferry round trip between Niigata and Otaru. It was a great rate plan with 20% off for those over 55 years old through the Autumn Travel GOGO discount campaign. The rooms are comfortable and the facilities are well-equipped, so it’s very easy to arrive at Otaru (Niigata) during your normal stay. If the weather is nice, you can enjoy the magnificent poppies of the Sea of Japan.
