We too enjoyed our time on NCL Pearl cruising through New England and Canada. Many points of interest with beautiful vistas and the food was so delicious. Pleasure to meet you two in person. Love this channel!
We are cruising on the pearl in Nov and we can't wait !
These size ships are my absolute favorite. They offer a great experience without the amusement park vibe of the ultra mega ships. Honestly: If I wanted the 6 flags experience I would go to 6 flags not on a ship. Breaks my heart that they are slowly being replaced by the monsters of today.
I was on her in 2019, and found her easy to navigate and great food, trivia and crew. I was solo and had a balcony at a very low price, September sailing.
I ate at buffet many nights and was waited on and treated so special. 12:47
I have a suggestion for staying organized when you travel. Use one packing cube in your room/cabin for all those one of a kind things were always looking for. I put in my umbrella, scissors, waterproof phone holder, etc. Every time I was looking for something loose, I pulled that cube out and it was there. I called it my travel junk drawer, even though it wasn't junk. Hope you can use this.
We haven't been on NCL since pre Covid and will be on the Star in a couple weeks out of Southampton. We are platinum and like this size ship the best, they have more pool space than the large ships, the race tracks take up too much room IMO for the relatively few that likely use them. They are cool but maybe only needed on a few ships. We just finished a cruise with a few days in Boston the end of September would have been neat to see you guys. Agree completely about spending a few days in Quebec City, it is amazing.
Fishy Carpets…love(d) them!
Thanks for this video. We will be on the Pearl in mid November for 11 days. We will definitely miss the fish…….really helped on our last cruise.
I appreciated the fishy carpet when I was on the Encore to Alaska last summer.
We did the New England Canada Cruise in 2019 on Norwegian Gem. Unfortunately we did not pick very good cabin but the ports of calls were fantastic and our 3 nights in Quebec City was such a great bonus. We stayed at a hotel across a little park where hotel Fairmont Frontenac is. That itself was a beautiful area. Ilana have a wonderful time.
Might I just say that you are looking super pretty today Ilana! 💞
Fish
Sounds like an amazing cruise and the pearl looks lovely. I lived in boston in the 1990s and its a great city. Looking forward to more videos. Thank you 😊
We are sailing on the Pearl this Friday.
congratulations on being number 6 on cruise you tubers. I think you are great!!!!
Excellent information for cruise planning on a mid size vessel, thanks so much!
Marine life floor covering.
We were on the Caribbean Princess right behind the Norvegian Pearl in Charlottetown on october 3rd!
Like Pearl, mid size, friendly staff, good shore excursion in CA & NE route.
PEI is very impressive, red soil & red rocks/cliffs, beautiful countryside….
Saguenay Fjord is a surprise, cruise 3-4hrs in fjord from sunrise to 11am docking, don’t miss it!
I didn’t see Northern lights, maybe cruise lights and city lights are too bright? Did anyone see it?
No Brazilian steakhouse on the Pearl?
Midsize ships have benefits and can be beneficial for guests that don't like to have to travel a long way from bow to stern.
Regarding the berring on the ship, since we need to use the elevator or stairs which are typically close together, the map or diagram will show the direction to go.
We went on the Pearl in April to Bermuda. Absolutely loved her!
Love the Pearl. Best food and cleanest ship we were ever on!
People have had problems finding public loos on the ship?
I enjoyed that, we did this itinerary on the Pearl last year.
Thinking on, I wrote about this trip for my paper The Scotsman, I won't link as that might be rude, and it's certainly presumptuous, but it's findable online if you get THAT bored/want to compare opinions!
QUESTION: We are welcoming our first child soon and have a cruise planned for next year, we have cruised many times before but never with a child. What do excursions look like logistically what should we expect to need in terms of car seats strollers and documentation for our little guy?
We watch all of your videos and are big fans. Thanks for all your advice over the years.
I was on this cruise with you and saw you a couple of times. It was a great trip! The leaves were the best in Quebec.
Fishy carpets 😂😂
Awww… I love the fishy carpets!!! We love NCL! One of the biggest complaints I've heard (myself included) is that O'Sheehan's has changed the way they cook their wings… now baked instead of fried. I just didn't like them that way… the skin was rubbery. So, I'm wondering if they've gone back to frying them again since so many people have mentioned it on social media and in their post-cruise surveys.
I like when ships have the fishy carpets or some other way to know when you are walking forward or aft.
Your room is beautiful!! No fishy carpets…. So sad 😢
It was great meeting you on the Pearl!! Darlene and not bashful John 😊
We got on the ship as you left and sailed to Boston (I saw you in Quebec and had to check if I was crazy)! I loved watching this and being reminded of what a lovely cruise experience we had. Fishy carpets!!
Thanks for the info on how freestyle dining works!!
When looking at the carpet think of waves. The one pointed wave points to the back of the ship.
