I stayed the night before in Niigata to board the Shin Nihonkai Ferry from Niigata to Otaru. There was a special thank you plan for the 20th anniversary of Niigata Nikko Hotel’s opening, and I booked a luxury twin (38㎡) for a room without meals at a member price of 18,000 yen (free membership registration). We were able to see wonderful views from the corner views of the Shinano River and Mt. Yahiko, and the Sea of Japan and Niigata Island.
