[Miyagi Walk] Sendai, the largest city in Tohoku, a walk along the shopping street

Sendai is the largest city in the Tohoku region, located in Miyagi Prefecture. This city was established by the famous warlord Date Masamune, and his statue at Sendai Castle has become the symbol of the town. Sendai is also renowned for its delicious local cuisine, including gyutan (grilled beef tongue) and zunda mochi (sweet rice cakes with sweet edamame paste). You’ll find a variety of restaurants and souvenir shops lining the east and west shopping streets.

In this video, we’ll start our journey at Hapina Nakakecho Shotengai in front of Sendai Station and explore the entire city, all the way to the statue of Date Masamune at Sendai Castle. Let’s enjoy the many charms of Sendai together!
