  1. Omg perfect timing. We just got back from a week on Wonder of the Seas. Our 4.5yo son was an absolute TERRORIST. The worst he’s ever been by far. He just decided to lose his freakin mind the whole trip. We learned on the trip that if you travel with your kids it’s not a vacation!

  2. Hi Chris. Thanks for the live stream. First of all I don't have kids so I don't I can't say if it is worth it or not. I feel should think about how having kids will impact the things that they enjoy doing. For example travelling, date night, quiet evenings at home etc. At least it's something to think about before having kids. Because infants and kids have no say in where you're going and what you will be doing. . You might go on vacation that you enjoy but the kids might be too young to enjoy or don't even like the place. If I had kids, I would hope the the special moments and memories would overcome the cost. For some those things are priceless. Didn't mean to preach but just wanted to share how I feel. Thanks again Chris and take care.

  3. I've been doing annual overseas trips with my kids since they were 2 years old. They're in their mid to late teens now and we're still doing it.

While they don't remember much about the earlier trips because they were young, I wouldn't change it for the world. We all had a great time, and we've got memories which will last a lifetime. To me that's with every cent.

  4. It all depends where you plan to take the kids, we balance out our trips with activities for kids and few activities for adults, it's crazy to think that a 3-8 year old shall enjoy a museum that we might enjoy, it's all about balmace in my opinion, we have travelled when my daughter was just 10 months(dubai) 2years(Singapore/Malaysia) 6(Japan this may 2023) it was an absolute blast to travel.
We shall now travel next to Istanbul & Australia soon.

  5. Reflecting on my childhood and what I plan to do with my kids is a lot of smaller trips. I think the longest trip we did as a family were 4 hour car rides until I was 10. Other than one flight across country for a wedding when I was 3. So, your first trip with a kid probably shouldn’t be a flight. A car or train trip to get them used to going further than the grocery store is a good idea.

  6. Yes, it's a complete waste of money. Years ago my wife and I took our kids to see the Grand Canyon. I think maybe they looked up from their Game Boy's once or twice to actually see it. Two of the girls where (are) such picky eaters they refused to eat anything other then Mc Donald's. Wife and I had enough, and decided to stop at a Denny's (not much better then Mickey D's), and the two girls refused to eat anything.

What was supposed to be a fun vacation felt like we where being taken hostage by the kids. I'm so glad I now have a little money to travel abroad with the wife, and the kids are grown, and we're still healthy enough to do stuff.

  7. Travelling with younger children can be a challenge for sure but gets a lot better as they get older. Thanks for the info + video!

  8. Big difference btw traveling with two young boys ages (2-3) than one young girl (age 3). Especially if you happen to have one of those rambunctious, loud, and tantrum-y boys

  9. These are the best trips, they create memories that cannot be paid for with all the money in the world.
