  1. My wife and I have been on over 30 cruises. #1 Mediterranean out of Istanbul. Went to Egypt, (overnight in Cairo), Ephesus, 3 Greek islands and ended in Athens. #2 Baltic #3 Alaska # 4 New Zealand #5 British Isles #6 Panama Canal. #7 Lots of Caribbean cruises. We have booked South American and Iceland cruises.

  2. It's funny to hear you talk so fast on this old video. I like the calmer, more relaxed delivery you have now. I'm not even considering a cruise, just love these well-done videos!

  3. As an airline pilot who spends a TON of time in the Caribbean I’m very surprised this would be on a bucket list. I’m not saying that there isn’t stuff worth seeing. But I just don’t see it as being in bucket list territory like your other choices.

  4. The one you missed is cruising around New Zealand. Beautiful and friendly are two over used words but absolutely the right words to use.

  5. Have you been on the cruise that only goes around the 4 Hawaiian Islands. ‘’The sites are amazing. They take you at night to the point where the volcano lava falls into the ocean, and also to the Nepali coast which you can only get there by hiking, or boat. It’s a must see. It also stops on two of the islands for overnight visits so you have more time.

  6. You mentioned the Baltics, I was lucky to travel with my school in 1968 to Denmark/Sweden/Finland & Russia. We entered the port of St Petersburg then called Leningrad & the majority of ships were grey with the hammer & sickle emblem on. The people were very friendly & spoke excellent English but things were expensive. We took pens & badges to give as gifts which were well received. I’m still honoured I went & thankful for the memory x

  7. I believe this review is far too general.. Most of us know the major and most popular areas of the world for cruising.

  8. I've done two Viking river cruises in the last 8 months and gets expensive going solo so I'm planning an eastern caribbean 4 night cruise in a few months as a solo on Norweigen. The plane ticket to get there and back costs more than the cruise.

  9. We did a cruise on HAL that stopped in Mexican ports they usually don’t stop in (La Paz, Huatulco, Puerto Chiapas) and then hit Guatemala and Nicaragua before stopping in Costa Rica, Panama, Columbia, and Aruba(??). Awesome, awesome cruise, very different to stop in less developed areas, would highly recommend it to people who are interested in adventures over shopping in ports of call.

  10. Thanks for your video, learned a lot from it!
Can I ask you a question? ➡️ Any of those cruises can you stay overnight for a few days to actually get to KNOW the country? Exemple: Caribbean countries.
    Thanks

  11. I’m very sad that I started my cruising journey post-Ukrainian invasion. I really would have loved to see the Hermitage and St Petersburg.

  12. Garry…we are having some trouble getting information about Celestyal Cruises. Can you tell me much about them and the Crystal ship to the Greek islands ?

  13. Thanks again I find myself watching more of your videos. I love the fact that you show all the fun exciting things like that girl with that monkey for the Gibraltar. It gets me excited about cruising.

  14. Where would European Cruise start out of Like Miami or New York????

Can you get European Cruises from Miami or New York????

  15. Had to go to Alaska twice to get all the cities and or glaciers to see because they were not going the same same places and they changed the route ❤😊

  16. Can you upload more info on specific destinations such as european river cruises, the attractions etc

  17. Thank you for all your great tips! In 2 years we are married 45 years and want to make a special cruise. We do not like warm countries so now we are thinking about 3 cruises. Alaska with HAL and go also on land by train and/or bus. Around England, Scotland and Ireland with HAL or Celebrity. Antarctica with HAL, i know we do not go ashore but due to health problems that is not an isseu. Witch one would you choose?

  18. I've never been to the Caribbean nor do I care to go. (I have a summer home in Greece). I haven't gone to Hawaii but I WOULD like to go sometime.

  19. In general (despite being a Naval Architect, and a professor Emeritus of NA&ME after 38 years as a prof), and while I love ships and the sea, calm or with waves (I don't get seasick ever), Cruise Ships, for the most part, I find VERY UNAPPETIZING. Maybe it i the thousands of poor, unathletic, unhealthy, and largely uneducated couples of retirees who will be 99% of your fellow passengers. Maybe it is because most of these come from the US, UK, Canada and Germany, they have really poor taste in food, and the Chefs on the ships, while they could offer you the best French and Chinese etc cuisine, have to give you damned burgers, hot dogs (vegetarian so you have no guilt), Sandwiches (they should be OUTLAWED on cruises ) and all the CRAPPY food these people ate all their lives at home. Maybe it is because the cruise itself is a VERY UNHEALTHY way to sightsee, eating and drinking much more than you should, and getting little to no exercise all day long.

  20. I am sad to hear of your reference to suicide. I encourage you to abandon this plan and seek help.
