  1. It’s honestly scary how many times I’ve had HGVs probably 6 inches or so from my back bumper (or at least what looked like 6 inches), whether it be in a town centre, or perhaps close to home (on a road with a 30mph speed limit). One time I was turning off a main road close to home into a residential street, and I put my indicator on straight after another street that’s close to the one I was turning into, and the trucker behind me decided it’d be great to put his high beams on, probably in some vain attempt to “punish” me somehow for braking so I could turn (he was so close, I could see the colour of my brake lights on the paintwork of his HGV).

I’ve also had a bus right behind me, where the driver was returning to his depot at the end of the day, and he was that desperate to get back, he decided to get mere inches from my back bumper, and when I slowed down for a roundabout, the high beams came on. Ditto for cars as well, from a Nissan Micra, all the way up to SUVs (had one do it to me near home a couple of times), as well as the usual suspects (BMW and Audi drivers). And for some reason, so many of them decide to overtake me when I’m turning from a main road to a residential street (don’t know why). And with the SUV drivers, they seem to like to shine their headlights and high beams directly into my rear view mirror

Maybe the Japanese cops should go round with a tank to deal with the tailgating truckers…

  2. So how is the neighborhood going? Old man no longer being flooded with mud? Everyone moved in?

  3. Just like here in Mexico. Plus people on the back truck and so on. Bloody phones man… This should really be strictly prohibited. Like with seat belts annoying "ding ding ding" if you dont wear it – something similar. If your car is running your phone gets disconnected safe for GPS. Anything else – you need to stop.

  4. Not that a low number of collisions would make this OK, but what are the statistics when it comes to Japanese road accidents?

  5. LOL, it's getting worse. Also younger ppl with ear pods in, narrow roads, just crossing, (changing sides) without looking. On the scooter I've nearly ran over about 8 ppl in 4 days from just being oblivious to what's happening around them.

  6. You asked me to remind you in the Summer, so here I am waiting for the "Unskilled Rocket Scientist in Japan" video! 😅

Let me see the latest rocket you've built!
