The Only Place in Nara You CANNOT Miss! | Todaiji Temple🏯🇯🇵

Todaiji Temple is not only a magnificently
large and impressive wooden Buddhist temple, but it houses
the largest bronze Buddha known as “Daibutsu”! Even in a
town like Nara that is filled with temples, this one stands apart from the rest and is a must-visit! The temple itself was built in the year 740 and stood to be the tallest wooden structure of the world for 1,000 ears! The Daibutsu inside was nearly 50 ft tall – it’s crazy to think long ago, it was a shining bronze color that has since oxidized and turned into a blue-ish green. Even after being in Asia for 3 months and visiting countless temples and religious sights, Todaiji felt grand and stands out in our memories.
