This time, we visited the Tanabata Festival in Ogawa Town, Saitama Prefecture, where abundant nature and high-quality water spring forth!
Ogawa Town’s WASHI paper-making has a history of over 1300 years and is registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
At this historic festival associated with WASHI paper, I was able to experience the traditions that have been passed down through generations, and it was very enjoyable.
Please also pay attention to the diverse paper decorations that utilize the local industry.
