  1. The "wicked looking little dude" looks like it'd be a Daruma – no ? (I mean, I got one like him tattooed on my arm so… 😀 )

  2. Hamamatsu is definitely on my list of Cities I Need to Go, looks like a great vibe! And who can resist a museum with crabs just walking around? this was really fun, thanks as always!

  3. The restaurant is Gyoza Mutsugiku 餃子むつぎく, just a couple blocks south of the Hamamatsu station.

  4. It’s awesome seeing you guys exploring these areas right near my home here in Shizuoka!! I’ve also been to their kite festival there and it was so awesome to see. Definitely recommend people go to it if they’re nearby at the time of the festival. That instrument museum was soooo unreal going to as a guitarist and my boyfriend is a pianist so it was really something. Also one of your magnets is a daruma doll, they have one of the biggest daruma festivals in Japan also in the prefecture. I wonder if that’s what that one is about! 🙂

  5. Haven't been to Hamamatsu yet. But, there are two things that I know about the place.
There is a torii gate in the water, and that brings back fond memories of when I first came to Japan a decade ago. As I remember seeing it from the shinkansen on my way to Kyoto, and thinking that it looked pretty cool.
And I also know that Hamamatsu are famous for their unagi (one of my favourite dishes in Japan).

  6. I think the reason why the bike parking is free is that Hamamatsu is a kind of motor city for bikes. Suzuki, Honda, and Yamaha are in the region, and the free parking is kind of preferrential treatment for bikers by the city.

  7. Y'all are funny. You tell us that museum videos are boring, then you make museum videos that are not boring.

  8. I visited Chibi Maruko-chan Land in S-Pulse Dream Plaza. You guys should make a trip and video there! 😀 It was a lot of fun!

  9. Kites, crabs visiting a museum, after wedgie reviews and cornflake cookies? If that's not a reason to hit subscribe, I don't know what is.

  10. Hamamatsu was the first place in Japan I visited, a school trip in 1995. We went to the kite museum and dunes, thanks for bringing back fond memories

  11. You are in the Valley of the Wind, Nausicaa. I had a Suzuki Intruder 800cc and it was fun and scary at the same time (especially on the interstate in the US). I was thinking about buying another bike (Honda Rebel 1100 DCT) but I would probably just fall off. 🙃 EDIT- just started playing Starfield. i'm ready to get lost in a immersive world for a few 100 hours.

  12. In 1887, the Hammamatsu City Organ broke down.
Torakusu Yamaha was called in to fix it. (McGuyver)
He thought "I can make this better!"
    Yamaha music industry was born.
Torakusu never saw a motorcycle that his company built, later.
    Japan has a fascinating history.
