Getting a reservation to the Pokemon Cafe involved staking out the website at 4 o’clock on a Saturday morning. The only reservation I was able to snag was one hour after our plane was estimated to land in Tokyo after exiting Sapporo. So needless to say it was a mad dash to get here on time after dropping off our suitcases at the Airbnb. The Pokemon Cafe experience was well worth the effort as the food was appropriately themed (though a bit pricey) and the atmosphere was incredible. A few of us bought some merchandise from the gift shop. Kevin bought some bowls, Cameron a cup, and I got a few themed spoons (like the one served with the tea set in the video). Also, I now remember due to Cameron’s food allergies he could not drink the Magikarp latte he ordered so we swapped and he drank the purple tea set I ordered.
