Spare a thought for us poor British people. We only get 30k points as welcome bonus and far fewer and limited credits for higher fee
Worth it if you use it consistently and travel a lot
It was tempting, but i would spend more money if i got equinox (membership prices are insane lol), spend more with streaming services I donāt have (i use scribd for audiobooks), probably not use the airline fees. Ultimately Iād be spending more for everything! This seems to be tailored for specific people. Went for the gold card instead š

As a frequent travelerā¦ this card is a god send. And I save so much money on food in airports and sitting down between layovers and before flights is taxing on my back with my bags since itās heavy and sitting comfortably is super important to me. I will be traveling most of this month domestically and internationally and this card is already helping me out- I have clear and global entry. I have lounge access.
This is a life saver for someone in a rush and doing business and leisure travel. Thank you Amex for having people like us in mind.
No. Maybe a quarter of the credits and extra cost to use lounge for 2 people. Still early in the credit game but can't justify with several trips a year.

Its Worth it if You use the Credits mentioned. I know everyone can't use all of them but at least get around $700 worth of credits to make it worth it.

Itās worth if you meet the criteria, if you have the sufficient income like 80K or more a year MIND! anyone this is a (charge card) and you do pay it in fully not split payments, also thereās no utilization rate thatās nice with no limit but itās cons to that just know what your doing before getting this card donāt be dumbā¦ā¦ā¦..
The annual fee is a scam. Your literally paying part of the ābenefitsā you receive. Were so hypnotized so easily.
Nope not for me, and all the students out there who is working two part time jobs with barely any vacation day, and the only days off are being occupied by studying and homeworkš
For the lifestyle of our family, it is worth it for us, we travel often and try to maximize on the benefits, good video and summary

Iām over the chase 5/24 stupid rule and capital one just wouldnāt give me a venture x so Iāll have no choice but keep the platinum for another year ā¦.the minute I get a venture x or CSR card Iām giving the platinum the boot š„¾ right up its benefits.

Really just if you travel a lot. Some of the credits are dubious because because an annual subscription would be cheaper than going the monthly route. Example: that $155 Walmart+ credit (must be paid monthly) really only has a $98 value because thatās how much an annual subscription actually costs.
I mean itās hit or miss with the platinum. Sure you get access to the lounges, but the lounges are overcrowded stillāeven with the guest policy. My discover does it for me as far as travel goes. Amex offered me the platinum card and having never had Amex I took it. If I could change anything I wouldāve gotten the gold card instead.

Iām a frequent traveler. Wish I had this card years ago.
I used mine to take my family of four into the lounge in Lima Peru for free. It would have been over $400 without that perk. We used clear credit, $200 hotel credit, and Hilton gold status upgrade which gave us free drinks and breakfast buffet everyday of our 7 night stay. Not to mention the 100k points which was worth close to $1k depending on how you use them. Totally worth it out the gate. May not be worth it in subsequent years. Itās something to really think about.
Forgot the hotel collection and the credits, thatās getting me the most value (and lounge access)

I believe that AMEX platinum card benefits is getting worst because around Amex airport lounge access rules requirement such as additional guest limit etc
I use everything except the equinox and soul cycle credits. Even with a player 2 itās well worth it for me.
