  1. I always felt safer in Asia overall, No way in Seattle/Tacoma i would be walking in alleys at night to many fools out there

  2. For a densely populated area, not 100%, but notice how clean the streets are. I also like the eye candy of the slim ladies in their nice outfits and luscious hair.
As someone from the bay area, I can't go night photography anymore because of the brazen robberies, smdh.

  3. From what I can see it looks like people are not staring at you like in China. Is that the case, are people in Japan more used to seeing black faces?

  4. Yo bro I am from NYC and it’s not safe even in the day.

And forget about the subways super dangerous

  5. Great travel vlog. Enjoyed your commentary. Felt as though I was right there with you. Energizing to see so many people out at night walking, socializing, dining out, the neon and digital advertising lights. Yes, that great feeling of a relaxed atmosphere and safe environment seemed to reach me as I was watching.

  6. I think your original thought was that China and Japan are so safe, that when citizens of those countries travel overseas, every destination seems less safe. That’s why they travel in large groups.

  7. Try Taketora in Roppongi for good Tsukemen (ramen but you dip it in the thick broth) you won’t miss it there!

  8. hmmm,… I'd recommend Yanaka Ginza … completely different vibe but definitely real Tokyo …

  9. Japanese are most polite people in the world I think. And ladies are always oshiare stylish 😊

  10. Glad you are enjoying Japan. I lived there 4 years. Its my true home.

I don't know your itinerary but if you get the chance, go see the 'Seto Inland Sea.' I recommend taking the Super Jet Ferry from Hiroshima (Port) to Matsuyama, Ehime. And from there, taking the train to Imabari Station where you can then take the bus back to Hiroshima via the Shimanami Kaido. That's an entire daytrip in itself but very relaxing and extremely scenic. But you will be likely the only foreigner out there cuz its off the beaten path.

  11. Thats very problematic with the babylon paranoi in regards to safety, they always like to portray other places as bad and dangerous and then on the flip side you got black area's in the bronx, brownsville, some parts of harlem, parts of queens which doesn't benefit from any tourism dollars whatsoever cos they are portrayed as bad and dangerous and must be no go areas. So it's very troublesome not just outside of amerikkka but internally as well🤷🏿‍♂️

  12. Sly, that is so true being able to walk around without your head on a swivel. Still aware and conscious, but not hyper vigilant.

  13. Canadian woman here. I lived in Japan for 10 years 1982-1991. You should have seen Shinjuku in the 80's. Fun.

  14. Shinjuku don't mess around! When I left Japan I felt something that was similar to the bittersweet you describe. It was about the safety, but also a kind of cozy feeling, good food, and in the country things being quiet and peaceful. Even a city like Tokyo is way less aggro and chaotic than many downtowns.

My buddy who lived there for 5 years said he felt way more at ease walking in a Tokyo red light area at 4:00am than walking in Belltown Seattle at 4:00pm.

  15. i kid you not, when i went to visit Tokyo, everyday felt like it was the weekend non stop, no matter how late too. Its pretty crazy, but even so i felt safe, there are no dramas what so ever and the cops do not harass.
