Jogging from Abashiri Station, the base for sightseeing along the Sea of Okhotsk, to Cape Notoro. This course, which is about 12km one way, is surrounded by deep forests and is cool and comfortable even in summer. You may meet wild animals such as bears, deer and foxes along the way. It’s a tough jog because it’s almost uphill to Cape Notoro, but you won’t regret it if you see the spectacular view of the Sea of Okhotsk from Cape Notoro. There is no public transportation to Cape Notoro, so either jog the 24km round trip or have someone pick you up. Please enjoy jogging while traveling in eastern Hokkaido.
