🐈Dialogue🏝️
ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー
D: Maple, we had such a great time on Benten Island today, even though it was a bit cloudy.
M: Ya, I really had fun sightseeing there!
D: Benten Island was originally a peninsula that extended westward from Maisaka. However, it became an island as a result of being severed by an earthquake in the year 1498.
M: I see. I heard that it was originally an uninhabited island before.
D: I heard that too, but in 1889, with the establishment of a beach and hotels, it gained attention as a tourist destination and resort area, leading to its development.
M: Great.

D: First, we went to the Bentenjima Beach Park.
M: The view there was really beautiful.
D: Yep, we saw Lake Hamana and the 18-meter-high Torii gate. I heard it was built in 1973.
Lake Hamana is a brackish lake, and it’s believed to have been connected to the sea by a major earthquake and tsunami around 500 years ago. (same one?)
M: I see. The place was so serene and picturesque.
D: The parking lot costs 400 yen, but it’s worth it for the view.

D: Then, we stumbled upon a cafe by the beach.
M: Yes, it was actually inside a hotel called THE OCEAN.
D: It seemed like it was calling our name, so we decided to go in.
M: I really loved the atmosphere there.
D: Totally. They had a pool outside, and the interior was nicely decorated.

D: I noticed HAMAMATSU BEER on the menu. It looked good.
I couldn’t drink because I was driving, so I ordered a hot tea instead.
M: I had their Bentenjima pudding. The waiter told me it was made by the hotel, using quail eggs.
D: That’s quite interesting.
M: It was smooth and sweet, and I really enjoyed it.
D: I’m glad you liked the dessert.

D: After that, we visited an aquarium called Uotto.
M: I really enjoyed that place.
D: Yeah, we learned a lot about the fish and creatures that inhabit Lake Hamana.
M: That’s right. And we even got to touch some fish.

D: And lastly, we went to Hamanabo.
M: I was so happy to go there again.
I absolutely love their sashimi!
And it was just as good this time.

M: It truly was a wonderful day today.
D: Definitely.

D: Next time, let’s go take a steam locomotive!
M: What’s that?
D: It’s a type of locomotive that is powered by steam.
You’ll definitely enjoy it.
M: Sounds great. Looking forward to it!
