【4K Stroll】Abuto Kannon – Hiroshima – Japan / Temple on the Cape Where People Pray for Fertility

✋Hello! I spotted a scenic temple from distance and I decided to visit it. Today we will walk in a temple built on a steep rocky cliff of the Abuto cape while listening to the calm sound of waves.

Abuto Kannon is a Buddhist temple, where an eleven-faced Kannon godess statue is enshrined. The temple is formally called “Bandaiji” and commonly known as “Abuto Kannon”, because it’s located on the Abuto Cape, Hiroshima Prefecture of Japan. The temple is said to have been founded around 1570 – 1573. The main building is erected on stone walls on the steep cape and creates a scenery like from paiting. The building is surrounded by a narrow, a bit inclined wooden terrace. Because it’s high up and there is a sea below, it can be thrilling to walk on it. In this temple people pray for luck in conception and smooth childbirth, so inside we can find wish tablets in a shape of women’s breasts.
