  3. OK came accross to utube to watch your trip around Australia but cannot find it.

  4. 안녕 친구~
일본 상세한 설명 아름다운 경치 감사합니다
아무쪼록 안전한 여행하시어 영국에 무사히 복귀 하도록 기도하겠습니다

  5. Many videos introducing Japan often feature large urban centres. Some people in the world may not know that Japan has so many places rich in nature😊 Recently, an English herbalist called Stanley Smith Venetia, who had moved to Japan, passed away in Japan. She was one of those who were fascinated by the nature of the Japanese countryside.

  6. Awesome video as always Chris and Marianne. The Castle was so spectacularly and the sword museum was my favorite part I love katanas there are so Cool.

  7. I’m British 🇬🇧 and got a visa to visit China 🇨🇳 in Osaka 🇯🇵, not that I had a camper van 🚐

  8. Loving the Japan series, you are doing such a great job sharing the true essence of each country… China doesn’t seem to offer the opportunity to be shown in the same light. It risks coming across as an expensive ‘staged’ perspective as you’re guided and restricted to what you can show… maybe visiting as a plane holiday would offer more freedom … safe travels 😊

  9. Every Marine that gets orders to deploy to Japan comes back to the US with a Japanese sword, or a tattoo…except my husband 😁

  10. I love that their travels don’t coincide with tourist season. It was like that for them in North America, they didn’t have to deal with all the people. Best way to travel. 👍🏼

  11. Can you not get your Chinese visa in Hong Kong? That is the go to place for a Chinese visa from living here in Taiwan (or use a courier)

  12. Amazing journey! Been following your trip! By the way if your schedule allows, please consider visit late Venetia Smith house she created near Kyoto. Tribute to her effort bridging UK and Japan.

  13. Thank you for sharing such an inspirational video. As I'm in the same age group as you, I truly admire your courage. Please don't underestimate the summer heat in Japan; it can be deadly. Avoid direct sun exposure and stay hydrated. A bottled drink called "Pocari Sweat" is good for rehydrating because it contains essential electrolytes. Don't worry, it doesn't contain any sweat despite its name. The temperature doesn't drop below 30 degrees on some nights, so you might consider staying in a hotel during those nights. If you're parking in the countryside with the windows wide open or simply walking around, it's better to use mosquito repellent. Please stay safe and enjoy your stay in Japan! Can't wait to your next episode! P.S. The creaky floor in the castle has a rather cute name: Nightingale floor.

  14. The smithing museum was so fascinating! Metallurgy, blacksmithing, woodworking, all coming together! 🤯🤯

45°C, with humidity! 🥵🥵🥵 Glad you retreated to air con as you needed. Brutal! ❤️❤️😎👍xx

  15. I've enjoyed your Japanese leg as it's a country I'd like to visit myself. Your videos have been very informative.
I was a little frustrated when you kept saying It's in Japanese, and I do t know what it says because we don't have WiFi. Most languages on Google Translate have a downloadable WiFi version.

Did you ever find out what the arrows at the side of some Japanese roads meant? They indicate where the edge of the road is when there's heavy snow.

I stay out of China and North Korea or any country where you're likely to be arrested on trumped-up charges. Just because you're British. Happy travels, folk. 😊🤞👍

  16. I think you should just ditch communist china and visit actual Chinese Taiwan! Then Vietnam, Thailand, India etc you would continue.

  17. I love your inquisitive and adventurous "spirit of enjoying the new".
I am a Japanese living in western Japan. I hope you will enjoy western Japan too!
Why not run to Himeji Castle in Hyogo Prefecture, Peace Memorial Museum and Miyajima in Hiroshima Prefecture, Kintai Bridge and Tsunoshima Bridge in Yamaguchi Prefecture, and Beppu Hot Springs in Oita Prefecture, Kyushu?
    This recommendation is a Japanese traveler's choice👍✨
