An almost-full parade video of Aomori’s Nebuta Festival in HD, filmed on August 6, 2023 on DJI Mobile. My battery ran out just before the end, but I used my phone to get a few clips of the late floats at the end of the video!
Aomori Nebuta Matsuri (festival) is one of the most spectacular festivals in Japan, and is one of the 3 big Tohoku summer festivals – Tohoku being the northern region of the main Honshu island of Japan. The other two festivals are Akita Kantou Matsuri and Sendai’s Tanabata Festival, all celebrate in the first week of August each year, the historical time of Tohoku’s Star Festival (Tanabata) – usually celebrated on July 7 in most other parts of the country.
