#bullettrains #japanrailway #nagasaki

Today’s train: KAMOME- Nishi Kyūshū Shinkansen
Takeo Onsen to Nagasaki
Distance: 66 Km
Maximum Speed: 260 Km/h
Journey time: 28 mins
Ticket Price: ¥ 3,800

In this video, I am taking the Nishi Kyūshū Shinkansen connecting Takeo Onsen and Nagasaki. This is the newest shinkansen in Japan, started its service only recently 23 September 2022 to be precise. KAMOME means seagull in japanese.

KAMOME is N700S Shinkansen with a maximum speed of 260 km/h. The distance between Takeo Onsen and Nagasaki is 66 Km and journey time is 28 mins. KAMOME is not only the newest but also the shinkansen which covers the shortest distance.

KAMOME has 6 cars. Car 1-3 is reserved seating and Car 4-6 is unreserved seating. Reserved seating features traditional looking seats which are very comfortable. The seats give me ryokan vibes. They have certain elegance. Unreserved seating features modern seats which are also comfortable, bright yellow and modern looking.

KAMOME is displaying many poster arts inside the train, including inside restrooms. Car 1 has a section where local pride Arita porcelain works are also in display.

The train stops at Shin Omura and Isahaya before arriving at its final stop Nagasaki.
