Visiting the Famous Starbucks in Kyoto, Japan / Kyoto Travel Part 2. #japan #explore #travel

We Visited Yasaka Pagoda:

The Yasaka Pagoda (Japanese: 八坂の塔), also known as Tower of Yasaka and Yasaka-no-to, is a Buddhist pagoda located in Kyoto, Japan.[1] The 5-story tall pagoda is the last remaining structure of a 6th-century temple complex known as Hōkan-ji Temple.[2][3] The pagoda is a popular tourist attraction.

You can also find the Famous Starbucks in Kyoto near the Yasaka Pagoda,
It’s called Starbucks Kyoto Ninenzaka Yasaka Chaya – it is the American brand’s 1st coffee shop established in an authentic traditional Japanese house, located on Ninenzaka street in Higashiyama, in the east of Kyoto. Tourists flock here to enjoy a latte while comfortably sitting on cushions laid on the tatami mat flooring.

The outside of the building, for example, doesn’t look like a regular Starbucks. All the buildings along this historic slope are wooden machiya, traditional two-storey townhouses, which look just like they would have a century ago, so you won’t find any modern-day signage here.

In fact, when our reporter Egawa Tasuku set out to find the Starbucks on a recent trip to Kyoto, he couldn’t. Standing on the stairs at Ninenzaka, he’d heard that you could see the Starbucks from this section of the slope, but after gazing up and down the street, he was none the wiser to its location.

But there are more things you can see and enjoy around the area, so I hope you enjoy the video because there are more Japan video coming.
