JP, the best country in the world.
You could have gotten accommodations for around the same price in Shinjuku-ku. Trains stop running around midnight until 0500. Taxi's are double the price after dark. Plan accordingly.

If you can try to make it to Fukuoka, on the south west coast, especially the Ohori Park area. They also have a wonderful city zoo and botanical garden.

If you want ramen without the soup, look for “mazesoba” or “shiru-nashi ramen”. Also, the currency in Japan is not “won”, it’s “yen” as in Japanese Yen (JPY).
