  1. We are so excited to share these earbuds with you – why did we not find these before they really helped us. If you are interested then by using the code TREADGLOBE you can get 15% off. Link is in the description – happy travels – Chris & Marianne xx

  2. Too bad you can't get your vehicle shipped to Australia, cross/explore the country, then maybe get the van shipped up to India or Malaysia. At least you could avoid China. Especially considered that they have severe flooding at the moment.

  3. Love the mountain roads. The vlog is beautiful as usual. Marianne, you speak French? Kept that quiet😅. Stay safe, safe travels.

  4. OMGoodness that was one hairy road to drive. Well done for getting through it. Loved the Sushi place also. Thank you for posting about the Translator Ear Buds we are very interested in getting them for when we head into Europe in January. Awesome vlog guys enjoyed it very much.

  5. Wow I felt your anxiety Chris I was also anxious for use on that road Marianne is a fantastic driver well done guys and thank you

  6. About "a few not so delicious foods" I do agree with you as a fellow Turk, that kokorec will always remain as "sheep's intestines" in my mind. I wish I had never known before I eat it. You can make anything delicious with the right spices, garlic, pesto sauce or chocolate sauce. An escargot would taste good when it is buried in pesto sauce of course, but it is still a snail. I don't care about what I am missing.

  7. 08:25 I am always glad when you happily take a picture in someone's beautiful garden and the owner never shows up with a shotgun threatening to blow your head off for trespassing or even pulling the trigger citing the Second Amendment.

  8. You look more than a little nervous Chris on that narrow road‼️ Good thing Marianne is such a GREAT driver‼️it was sure beautiful mountain scenery though‼️

  9. Shall I use those ear buds with Yujiro??? nah… maybe I don't want to know about his long, involved stories 😉 Beautiful mountain drive, I had the same experience in Wakayama years ago…turning was areal nail biter! But I since heard there is a way to set Google maps so it only shows routes that your vehicle will fit on. maybe worth checking out! I SO hope you go the China route – hopefully the government guide will speak English and you'll have an amazing experience.

  10. 23:30 that's just a sign for recreational fishing, outlining the sizes you're allowed to catch. The red writing is a warning to be wary of powerlines.

  11. I again advice you not to go through China. What happens if you film something that you are not suppose to? Why do think you will need to have a agent following you?

  12. Chris you looked like you needed a stiff drink after that road. Marianne was driving and saying its the loveliest rd she has driven on and your face was a picture just wanting it to be over. Brilliant scenery, I did not know Japan was like this.

  13. Hey guys. I am very excited for you to tread the globe through China. Ten years ago we went from Beijing down to Shanghai over to Zhangjiajie up to Luoyang then over to Xinning and then into Tibet to Lhasa then down into Nepal via Mt Everest. It is not the easiest travel in the world but the roads are well pave. It is smart to have a guide with you either on Trudy or to follow behind. Mostly because of the check stops. They don't have photo radar but instead have check stops every 4hours or so of driving. If you arrive too soon there's a penalty for speeding. Also for hotels as most do not accept foreigners. Hotels must be aware of you coming so they can have the appropriate paperwork which they forward to local police. Not sure how it will work with you staying in your camper van but I'm going to assume every time you pull over for the night some paperwork will have to be forwarded to the police so they know where you are staying. It's not a big deal to comply but non-compliance will result in some sort of penalty.
