Tanabata is known as the Star Festival (ζη₯γ, Hoshimatsuri) and it is the legend of Orihime and Hikoboshi. As the Milky Way separates these two lovers, they are only allowed to meet once a year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month π
However, the date of Tanabata varies by region, but the first festivals start on 7 July. The celebration is held on various days between July and August βΊοΈ
