CHIDORIGAFUCHI MOAT lantern festival is an interesting festival . Each lantern represents a wish or feeling of the person who is offering the lantern. It is an spectacle of lights in summer. One of the Japan’s most prominent paper lantern festival is called Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony were 10.000 lanterns are set afloat.
Tokyo can also be proud of its huge Lantern Festival called Asakusa Celebration which is held on the Sumida River and commemorates those lost to the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923.
