Asahi Beer Hired Me to Create a Video for Super Dry Nama Jokki Can

A day in my life or more like a few days in my life creating video content for a client, Asahi Beer for the Paolo fromTOKYO channel. I take you behind the scenes of my production and show you some of things I go through to produce my videos. My goal for this one is to produce a Japanese beer commercial-like video so we’ll see how it goes. Many viewers ask to see what my days are like making videos so here it is. I hope all of you enjoy the making of my Asahi Beer Super Dry Nama Jokki can video.

  1. Thought you were going to go for those quick to slow transitions when you showed a clip at 7:11. I saw a different commercial from what you made but that's me. Just some critiques from someone who looks forward to seeing you do more commercials, the lighting was bright so I think you could of use a little makeup/powder to get rid of the shiny areas if your face. at 8:35 the can logo wasn't centered like the other shots. Also, having the 2nd drinking shot felt out of place especially since it was such an abrupt moment it made it look like an odd cut, but that's just my opinion. I hope you do more side work like this in the future. Commercials are a whole different style of content creating but it can be very fun to do and hopefully next time you'll get more time for planning.

  2. Asahi hired you to do this but they aren't actually doing any sort of campaign right now..
The last time this Nama Jokki Can paid English Youtuber in Japan, it was 6 months ago with Joey the Anime Man.

That made me curious and then I checked their earning report for Q1 2023.
In volume, beer consumption in Japan gained minus growth compared to last year.
But at the same time visitors to Japan increased drastically.
My conclusion is Asahi is probably testing the water with inbound travelers by creating this one-time video.
I know how much Chris Abroad in Japan charges for one advertorial video so you probably charge around the same, and it is not cheap.
Damn, Asahi really is showing off hahaha.
    (love their products btw)

  3. That's same in my country, we like it with two fingers thickness foam, but in Uk if they see foam they react like savages 😂🤣

  4. I would have done it more simply, just get thru the door, go directly to the fridge open a can, looking amazed by the foam I take a huge sip, the a bit "sugoi" and a big smile showing the happiness in drinking it then the camera moving away while the image blurred whit transition to the frame on the kitchen counter with a bunch of cans of Asahi and a open foaming one 😁 , probably a more simplistic way my version, but you did a good job 👏

  5. 👏👏👏 very good. My only comment would be crack a smile when you see the can in the fridge because you know you are heading towards beer goodness.

  6. Kind of weird since it's different from your usual content.. but looks like your channel has become quite popular inside Japan which is good.

  7. Too bad that most Asahi beer in the U.S it is actually brewed in Italy and not Japan. I’m still a fan of Ashahi brewed beer though.

  8. Great story, great video! Thanks for sharing with us, I enjoyed watching! However, the beer is not so great, there are many beers around in Japan that taste better (personal taste though).
