I think you are right, Rion-san. I was there in May with other foreigner friends and Umeda/Dontonbori/Tennoji was very lively. Fast forward to earlier this month, I went to Osaka again with family and noticed a big drop in visitors except maybe Osaka castle.
Rion, thank you for your video! We're going to Japan in October and really excited about visiting all the little shopping and Gachapon places. As someone who also gets overwhelmed with noise, I appreciate you telling us about the quiet spots at the end of Namba Station.
And thank you for showing us that new gachapon place! I really hope the Hello Kitty gachapon as a ghost is still there in October. 🦁🐯
Hello, I am a new subscriber! 10月日本に行きます！I am coming with my husband and best friend, we are super excited! I think we have 10 or 11 days. We will visit Osaka, including USJ, then to Kyoto and Nara. Then to Tokyo and TDL. I will keep my eye out for you!
I was there last October and it wasn’t packed since the country had just reopened. I’m going back to Osaka (plus Hiroshima and Fukuoka later this year), hopefully it isn’t super packed with tourists.
I can never win at those crane machines, but I do love the gachapons. As for the heat, how well does Japan's power grid handle all the demand for air con?
The gatchapon put a smile on your and our face so it was a win for 100¥ 😊

I was just there 2 weeks ago. Week day morning was ok. Evening was very crowded and the weekend was just crazy. This is my 4th time in Osaka, love it every time!
