【Matsue Castle│Izumo Taisha】Traveling in Shimane Prefecture by Ichibata Electric Railway.

I will introduce Matsue Castle, Izumo Taisha Shrine and the Ichibata Electric Railway “Ichibata Train”.

First I visited Matsue Castle, national treasure, in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture in the early morning.Early in the morning, Matsue Castle is still quiet. The only sounds are the chirping of birds and the gentle rustle of leaves in the breeze. As one walks on the stone-paved paths, the footsteps echo, but there are hardly any people within the vast grounds of the castle. It is a special moment of serenity and history. Visitors can experience this special moment and transport themselves back in time to the days of old.

After that, we will take the Ichibata Electric Railway “Ichibata Train” to Izumo-taisha Shrine.
Looking out the window from the swaying train, you will see the calm surface of Lake Shinji and a peaceful rural landscape. The Ichibata Train is a local train that connects Matsue City, also known as the “Water Capital,” to Izumo City, where the Izumo Taisha Shrine, a sacred place for matchmaking, is located. Please enjoy the wonderful scenery from the train windows.

In the afternoon, we will visit Izumo Taisha Shrine, a sacred place for matchmaking. The building is extremely beautiful and original.
