Join me on a spectacular journey aboard the Taiheiyo Ferry Kitakami, where I sail from Sendai, Miyagi to Tomakomai, Hokkaido. The ship, inaugurated in 2019, boasts impressive facilities, from a stylish design reminiscent of a spaceship to unlimited tea. I bunked in a dormitory room, but the experience was still luxurious – it felt like having a capsule all to myself!
Walking around the ship was an adventure, and my meal at the buffet was an absolute treat – I tasted every dish and dessert. I indulged in some mystery with an Amazon Audible novel at night before getting some shut-eye. A trip around the ship in the middle of the night led me to the comforting warmth of unlimited hot tea.
My morning started with a thwarted attempt to watch the sunrise, followed by a refreshing bath and a beautiful, clear day. After a 15-hour journey, I arrived in Sendai, where I planned to return to Tokyo by Shinkansen.
I experienced the bustling city life in Sendai and savored their famous beef tongue before boarding a crowded Shinkansen bound for Tokyo. An unexpected bonus was seeing a new type of train undergoing testing at the station.
Back home, I wrapped up the journey with a box of Zunda Mochi, reflecting on the beautiful experiences of my trip. This video captures my travel highlights, from the fascinating Kitakami to the charm of Sendai. Please leave your comments, and look forward to the following video. Thanks for watching!
