Bengalis in Vancouver (Bongmilanti) Group organized Bengali Picnic in Belcara Regional Park

Today was not an usual Saturday for us . Typically , On weekends, we either wake up late or get ready for new travel destinations for creating our memories through our Vlogs . We hate to stay indoors on weekends (something we have hated for the last 11 years ), specially on a Warm sunny 🌞 Day. ESPECIALLY in Canada 🇨🇦 , the White skins once told me that its a shame to be not basking under the sun before winter knocks us.

Today’s Saturday was special , with the same irritating alarm ⏰ ringing as the usual Weekday but with a different purpose – A reminder to wake up , get ready for the 1st ever Picnic in Canada and that too “All Bongs Picnic” . When you stay for years outside India 🇮🇳 in different countries, Like we did , the Bongs’ emotions sprouts when being invited to a place where Bengali is the most spoken language and you get to meet the like minded Bengalis connected to their bengali roots with a strong passion outside India.

Driving through the scenic roads towards Belkara Picnic Spot , infused more excitement in our souls for something heart warming , we are experiencing today after a long long time. Worth to mention that The crux of any successful Picnic is balanced on 3 strings “PFP” – #1. People – Like minded souls who share the same ethos, the same cultural roots passion and the warmth . #2. The Food 🥘 to suit our Tastebuds #3. The Place .

The Picnic was so passionately managed and coordinated that I must admit that I have not seen for a long time in other places. The Committee members did a stupendous fantastic job with everything falling right in the right place.

The Jhalmuri, The Kids chocolates 🍫 , The Pizzas 🍕 , The Chai ☕️, The chickens 🐔 and mocha chops and jalebi – I can go on and on.. The food which every Bengali would die for. The Activities planned – Was so inclusive of every one present and the warmth in the communication by everyone who participated today is the Success of the day. There was not a moment where we felt out of place as the vibe around was so magnetic 🧲 or I would rather say BENGALI-tic 😂.

Khub bhalo laglo sobar songe alaap kore – All Bongs under one roof is a pleasure to experience and cherish as memories for a long time with the snaps , the videos will keep reminding us that Saturday was the day when we All Bengalis had a great loaded Day with loads of fun .

At the end , would like to mention that It was the warm gesture from Atanu who pinged me about this Picnic and we Absolutely loved it ..❤️.
