Sitting outside the exit of JR Shin-Imamiya Station, Shin-Imamiya maybe a rough part of Osaka, but is in reality far safer than Hamilton New Zealand. It’s even more safe as a foreigner as Japanese people tend to leave you alone. Osaka’s a far more gritty, and interesting city than Tokyo. A tip, Hotel Shin-Imamiya is just down from the East Exit of JR Shin-Imamiya Station, then walk left out the exit past Hotel Sun Plaza, and it’s the place with the sign as shown in the video.
