72 HOURS in TOKYO: Japan’s Amazing Capital

A mini guide in 2023 for travel through Tokyo, Japan. This includes our trip to Akihabara and a Maid Cafe, Ueno Park and the Tokyo National Museum, The Tokyo Skytree and Sumida River, Asakusa and Sensoji Temple, Ikebukuro and Sunshine City as well as some night ramen, and various other adventures through one of the most incredible cities in the world.

In 2023, I visited Japan with family and we spent two weeks in Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, and Osaka. Join us as we visit Ueno Park and Tokyo National Museum, the Tokyo Skytree, Sensoji temple in Asakusa, Akihabara and anime central, and the shopping district of Ikebukuro in this first episode. We also visit a maid cafe, shop for some figures and get some delicious night ramen under the Tokyo night sky. This is a film about our adventures through Japan and a guide to those visiting for the first time.

  1. I like your selection of clips and narration, and especially the music!
I used to live in Japan for a few years and visited the country last time this April. My hotel was in Osaka and Tokyo (a few meters away from the vie de France bakery in Akihabara).
Did you visit the Don Quijote store in Akihabara? They had a good selection of Urusei Yatsura t-shirts and even goodies from The Dangers in my heart, my current favourite romcom.
Even though my hotel was close to Radio Kaikan, I visited the store only the day before my return flight home, so I couldn't buy as much as I wished for luggage space reasons.
