Shimanami Kaido in June

had an absolutely amazing time driving along the Shimanami Highway in Japan, connecting Honshu and Shikoku. The journey took me through some incredibly beautiful islands like Mukashima, Innoshima, Ikuchima, and Omishima, and the bridges that connected them were absolutely stunning.

One of the highlights of my trip was visiting Kousanji, a temple complex that blew me away with its gorgeous architecture and peaceful atmosphere. The attention to detail and artistic beauty found within the temple grounds left a lasting impression on me.

I also had a blast at the Kamura cycle rental area, where I explore the natural beauty that surrounded the highway. And let’s not forget about Oyama Jinja, a historic shrine with the breathtaking 2600 years old camphor tree.
