And this was the weekend I found out the reason they call Niigata “Snow Country” 😍 I really miss living in Tokyo purely for all the amazing places so close by! Such a great weekend getaway 🙂

  1. The sake tasting place at Yuzawa train station was one of the highlight of my trip o Niigata when I visited in 2917. (They didn't have statues of drunk men in suits outside the shop anymore?)
It was bit too early in season for skiing so we only caught the first snow falls. Maybe next time….

  2. Good job editing & storytelling. I see the big effort in each shot. I can appreciate the overall work that goes into your videos 🙂

  3. Just love your videos the umpteenth time watching this video. It makes us so happy seeing you have a good time!!!

  5. 35 years ago, when Japan was in the bubble economy, ski resorts were very popular as resorts. Many of the apartments built at that time are old and have reached the end of their useful lives.

  6. なんでも出来るスーパーレデイーと思っていましたが、スキーは出来ないんですね。

  7. This is in Yuzawa, a ski resort. You can buy a condominium there for 20,000 dollars. Maintenace and other fees can run about 400 dollars or more a month. Good deal? You tell me. Anko is no substitute for sugar, honey or maple syrup. It's insipid. This Aussie girl knows nothing about winter. Still, Yuzawa has great hotels and hot springs.

  8. Thank you for visiting my hometown ❤ “Sasadango” is a traditional sweet of Niigata.

  9. Hello Hannah, what the bloody heck is that you're eating at the end of the video? Why is there so much rice?
