THE SABBATICAL – Episode 9: What the Tokyo? (Tokyo, Japan)

Two whole weeks on sabbatical in Tokyo!

On the first day of their two weeks in Tokyo, Baby William turns into a toddler. The trio celebrate William’s first birthday and then prepare to settle in for 14 days under the same roof. Two weeks in the same place also allows the family to live like locals.

But when in Tokyo, there are a few things touristy that must be done – like going to sumo wrestling, visiting an owl café, singing our lungs out at karaoke, going to the arcades in Akihabara and spending way too much time and money at Yodobashi Camera.

Two weeks in Tokyo was absolutely awe-inspiring, between the millions of people at Shibuya crossing, to the queuing and quiet aboard the Tokyo subway, every little element was uniquely Japanese and uniquely Tokyo.
