Asakusa Samba Carnival 2019 – Samba Dancing in Tokyo
Starting in 1981 to celebrate ties with Brazil, Asakusa Samba Carnival serves up the fun with dancers and costumes along with half a million spectators. The carnival is held on the last Saturday of August.
As a Brazilian, this is really moving. I am deeply touched by the care and effort these people had to make all of this a reality. They nailed the carnaval spirit, which is by far the most important and precious part.
I couldn't tell if all songs were in Portuguese or if they had some parts or entire sections in Japanese, but it would make me very happy if they were entirely in Japanese since the point of the song is to tell the story of the parade. It would probably be more enjoyable for all watching if it was in their own language.

Bewildering, any excuse for a dressing up party, but where's all the laughing soup?.
